everyone's doing it

Exciting:
- finding TMs and HMs
- evolving
- beating Team Rocket first time every time
- forgetting how much money you've won from battles then spreeing on super potions and repel
- riding your bike to go real fast to places
- flying on your pidgeot to go even faster to places
- when your magikarp becomes a gyarados

Annoying:
- finding pokemon every second step you take in the grass
- finding pokemon every second stroke you take in the water
- not being able to cut trees yet
- losing a battle when you both have 1hp left but the other side got to fight before you
- using a potion only to have your pokemon faint on the next go
- fainting in the middle of a forest and going all the way back to the town you just left
- trying to get your kakuna and metapod to evolve

do you want to be my baby

If you weren't already aware, there was a festival called Good Vibrations on last Saturday.
One of the reasons I went was to see Mike Posner, who I now like to refer to as Mikey.
Think, new age Justin Timberlake. Not so much a pretty face, but someone who emits rays of awesome as a whole.
Bow chicka wow wow.

I downloaded his album about two months ago and fell in love with his lyrics.
And I'm glad. Because it made the whole experience of seeing him live so much more enjoyable.

If I had to say one bad thing about his set, it would be that he (or his manager) should have picked a prettier girl to come up on stage and receive a giant teddy bear and kiss on the cheek from him. It just wasn't fair.

just one show and we're on a first name basis ;)

teach yourself a lesson pt.3

Dear Grade 4 Julia,

Alice in Wonderland is one of the most kickass kids stories there is and there is nothing wrong with being cast as a talking tree. That tells the nativity story. I know it isn't actually in the story and that the school just added it in to keep some sort of Jesus theme happening, but at least you got a main part. Well done!

Dear Grade 5 Julia,

You and your best friend are no longer best friends and yes it seems like 2012 has come early. But don't worry, years later, your paths will cross every now and then and it will be fun! Trust me (and the vodka).
