Ventured down to lovely old Sydney town today, for a mere 6.5 hours.
Woke up at 4am to be picked up by my ever reliable best friend for my regretful 6am flight (the cheapest option!) before heading to Martin Place to be one of those people with their noses pressed up against the glass, at Channel 7's, Sunrise studio.
Enjoyed some post-exam celebratory retail therapy at the city's glorious Westfield before waiting 45 minutes at the US Consulate to be asked a mere 3 questions before being told MY US STUDENT VISA HAS BEEN APPROVED.
I made use of my precious remaining Sydney minutes and devoured a hazelnut hot chocolate at the Lindt Cafe, albeit alone, but in the company of technology (my iPhone hehe).
Then headed back to the airport to come home to a dismal Brisbane which just does not seem to compare :(
