Tea party

One of mine and Rachy's favorite activities is eating. So we ventured to 16th on Park for a nice Monday morning high tea, minus the complimentary champagne (it just doesn't sit well with salmon sandwiches).

After the waiter announced that "nobody can ever finish the entire serving" we accepted the challenge and came oh so close before having to retire and walk it off with a stroll by the river.

She was a daytripper

Ventured down to lovely old Sydney town today, for a mere 6.5 hours.

Woke up at 4am to be picked up by my ever reliable best friend for my regretful 6am flight (the cheapest option!) before heading to Martin Place to be one of those people with their noses pressed up against the glass, at Channel 7's, Sunrise studio.

Enjoyed some post-exam celebratory retail therapy at the city's glorious Westfield before waiting 45 minutes at the US Consulate to be asked a mere 3 questions before being told MY US STUDENT VISA HAS BEEN APPROVED

I made use of my precious remaining Sydney minutes and devoured a hazelnut hot chocolate at the Lindt Cafe, albeit alone, but in the company of technology (my iPhone hehe).

Then headed back to the airport to come home to a dismal Brisbane which just does not seem to compare :(

Watching the sunrise from my seat

Mandatory self-portrait

Kochie and Mel from afar. The chub kids reflection in the glass cracks me up.

Bought this baby from ZARA. Can't wait to strut around like I'm straight from That 70s Show.

Nom nom hazelnut hot chocolate.

From my machine

I forgot to post about this piece after I completed it.
It's something a little bit different to what I've made before and my craftsmanship was a bit dodgy, but overall I was pleased with it.
I wore it to Law Ball the very next night after my 21st and my dance moves proved too much for it to handle, resulting in it splitting down the side.
To my drunken amusement, I had to spend the remaining hours of the night with my left arm by my side, only lifting it to give my friends a sneaky peak.

high as a kite

Ok so the title is slightly misleading.
But my dearest friend Rachel and I drove out to Victoria Point the other day for high tea.
It was quite the adventure, being out near the bay. Very unfamiliar lands.
The food itself was alright but the overall vibe from the cafe was just too adorable.
After our sugary feast, we put on our tourist hats and took a stroll by the water.
Hence why there is only one photo of the actual high tea.

The cupcakes had the best icing I have tasted in my whole history of eating cupcakes.

Just a couple of awkward goofballs. No use trying to hide it.

frothing

So last night I took my best friend to see an outdoor screening of Breakfast at Tiffany's for her birthday.
And now I am absolutely in love with the movie.
I will be frothing over it for the next week or so.
